Job Summary:
The Part- Time Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of Buccaneers’ facilities, staff, players, and visitors. This role is unarmed involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, responding to security incidents, controlling access, and providing excellent customer service. The Security Officer will also comply with legal requirements and act lawfully in direct defense of life and property. Daytime and overnight shift positions are available for Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Essential Functions:
• Monitor and patrol (on foot and via golf cart) assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises.
• Conduct random and regular building and perimeter patrols.
• Control access at vehicle gates and building entrances.
• Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies.
• Mediate and/or mitigate threats with use of verbal commands and use of basic physical defensive tactics.
• Serve as a point person for the arrival of EMS, FIRE, and Police when needed.
• Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address security risks.
• Assist in physical crowd control during events and/or support the Stadium Command operations.
• Monitor access control, alarm systems, and video cameras. Support needs related to operating emergency communications systems for employees.
• Physically roam property and observe for signs of crime, disorder, or other irregularities.
• Report irregularities, inform violators of policy and procedures, evict violators and trespassers, and notify appropriate authorities as necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service to staff, players, and visitors.
• Assist guests at AdventHealth Training Center by physically controlling traffic and directing pedestrians.
• Prepare detailed reports of suspicious incidents by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of security incidents and activities.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
• Ensure compliant operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, and evaluating new equipment and techniques.
• Adhere to all security protocols and procedures.
• Contribute to a team effort by accomplishing results as needed in a timely fashion and obtaining assistance if and when needed.
• Serve as backup to the Security Ambassador, as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to document significant incidents in written format.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to operate the Buccaneers’ access control, video surveillance, and visitor management systems (training will be provided).

Qualifications:
• Active driver’s license and Florida Class D Security Officer License (unarmed) in good standing.
• First Aid, CPR, and AED trained and certified, or a willingness to be trained.
• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Previous experience in security, military, or law enforcement required.
• Proven work experience in law enforcement or a comparable position required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Must pass a background check and MVR driving record check.

Physical Fitness Standards:
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and climbing stairs.
• Must pass a physical fitness test that includes:
◦ Running a specified distance within a set time.
◦ Completing a series of push-ups and sit-ups within a set time.
◦ Demonstrating the ability to lift and carry a specified weight.
