About the role

Job Description:

 The Transaction Advisory Services Intern will work closely with our clients, managers and partners in analyzing financial and non-financial data to provide clients various services for their transactional processes. This may include qualitatively assessing ESG (Environment Social Government), DEI (Diversity Equity Inclusion), and other important topics in the industry through researching market risks and potential changes in the regulatory requirements. In the process, the Intern will quantify, manage, and build value of assets from capital projects to real estate portfolios, intellectual property, intangible assets and securities. It is an opportunity to gain experience in transaction advisory services, mergers and acquisitions, litigation and disputes, bankruptcy and reorganization, financial reporting, taxation and strategic planning, and compliance.

 

Essential Duties

  • Work on buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence engagements from both private equity and strategic corporate buyers.
  • Analyze historical financial statements and evaluate operational trends to identify sustainable earnings for a variety of industries, including manufacturing and distribution.
  • Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in progress in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited college or university required.
  • CPA certification or demonstrated progress towards obtaining CPA certification, including required 150-credit coursework.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of basic auditing, accounting standards and proficiency in related computer applications, as acquired through coursework or other training.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to meet challenging client requirements, provide services and possess strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and research capabilities.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound decisions and recommendations in client related matters pertaining to the engagement.
  • Must be able to work additional hours as needed to meet client deliverables.
  • Must be willing to travel locally to clients when required and have access to a car/public transportation.

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $26.00 - $28.00/hour. Final offer amounts will be dependent upon office location as well as the individual’s experience, skills, and qualifications.
