JOB DESCRIPTION

As a trainee within the Engineering center department, you will have the opportunity to work closely with design engineers on automotive projects. The main objectif of this internship is to establish design rules and develop business tools.

 

MAIN ACTIVITIES 

Create a Design Guideline for Tow Eye Cover dedicated to RSA & Stellantis OEM

• Analyze Current solutions & issues solved / Unsolved (Lesson Learned)
• Make proposal and 3D CAD data of standard interface
• Set up a PPT document with all design recommendations

Create a fixings data base for RSA & Stellantis

• Create an Excel or SharePoint file by OEM, Type of fixing and plant
• Samples Box to be upgraded
• Make 3D model for standard interface
• Validate engineering specifications in laboratory with prototype or production parts (Torque, Pull-Out load, …)

Create Standard 2D drawing for bought out Parts

• Analyze existing drawings
• Propose a standard drawing for each similar part with the same specifications (Tow Eye cover, Radar Cover, Camera Cover & Bracket, …)
• Add optimized & functional GD&T to define and validate this part

 

PROFILE

• Undergraduate student (BAC+3/4) pursuing degree in Engineering Design / Plastics Engineering or related field
• Strong understanding of Catia V5
• Knowledge of TDM database tools
• Possesses advanced levels of English and French
• Demonstrates curiosity and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Office 365 tools, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
• Great communication and synthesis abilities
• Collaborative team player

 

DURATION

3-6 month internship starting in as soon as possible.

Sigmatech - Avenue du Bois des Vergnes, 01150 Sainte-Julie (30 km from Lyon - carpooling options are available).

 

COMPENSATION
Calculated according to level of degree + company restaurant subsidy + transportation allowance
