The Commercial Meetings & Events Senior Manager is a high-impact strategic role responsible for the end-to-end leadership, development, and flawless execution of GE Appliances' most critical commercial events and experiential initiatives. This includes customer incentive trips, large-scale brand activations, trade shows, and immersive experiences that bring our brand to life for customers, partners, media, and internal stakeholders.More than logistics, this role is about orchestrating unforgettable experiences that elevate the GE Appliances brand, deepen stakeholder engagement, and communicate key business narratives—such as innovation, digital transformation, and supply chain leadership. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a detail-obsessed executor, capable of managing multi-million-dollar budgets, inspiring cross-functional teams, and translating business goals into exceptional live experiences.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Event Leadership & Vision (45%)
Lead the overarching strategy for Commercial Meetings & Events to support business growth, brand storytelling, and customer loyalty.
Translate business objectives into audience-specific event strategies that drive engagement, measurable ROI, and long-term value.
Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, Executive Leadership, Product, and Communications teams to ensure events are fully integrated into broader business and brand initiatives.
Create and enforce high standards of excellence for all aspects of event execution, from planning to post-event evaluation.
Serve as the strategic lead for executive visibility at major events, ensuring strong alignment and flawless C-suite engagement.
Coach and manage a team of internal and external event professionals, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Event Planning & Execution (45%)
Lead all aspects of large-scale event planning—from venue selection and supplier negotiation to logistics, run-of-show, and on-site operations.
Develop robust project plans, production timelines, and contingency strategies to deliver world-class experiences on time and within budget.
Create briefing documents, training protocols, and post-event evaluations that inform and improve future events.
Ensure all activations reflect GE Appliances' brand identity and meet the highest standards of excellence across every touchpoint.
Drive innovation in experience design, technology integration, and audience engagement.
Conduct post-event ROI and KPI analysis to assess performance, identify optimization opportunities, and support future strategic planning.
Financial Management & Budget Oversight (10%)
Own and manage complex, high-value event budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting, disciplined cost control, and timely reconciliation.
Identify cost-saving opportunities through negotiation, vendor consolidation, and process improvement.
Ensure full compliance with all sourcing, legal, and audit requirements.
What You'll Bring to Our Team
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred in Communications, Marketing, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in managing and executing large-scale corporate events, trade shows, and experiential marketing initiatives.
Proven experience in project management, venue management, budget creation and oversight, contract negotiation, and supplier management is essential.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, develop, and delegate effectively to event teams, freelancers, and vendors.
