About the Associate Director, Resourcing role
We are seeking a Resourcing Specialist to manage the allocation of both internal employees and external contractors to various projects. This role is crucial for ensuring that the right people are assigned to the right roles based on their skills, availability, and project requirements. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of project needs, resource management, communication skills and strong organizational skills. Experience conducting resourcing at agencies is preferred.
As an Associate Director, Resourcing, you will
- Resource Allocation: Match internal team members and external contractors with specific project needs, ensuring that their skills and availability align with project requirements. Manage the assignment process from start to finish in partnership with team leaders and managers.
- Internal Talent Management: Work with department heads to understand the capabilities, availability, and development goals of internal employees. Make recommendations for assignment based on these insights.
- Resource Planning: Develop and maintain a comprehensive resource plan to anticipate future needs and address potential gaps. Provide recommendations for resource adjustments and planning.
- Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for resources, providing clear instructions and support. Ensure effective communication between all parties involved in a project.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Track the progress of resource assignments and provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders. Evaluate the effectiveness of resource allocation and make improvements as needed.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance resourcing processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Implement best practices for managing both internal and external resources.
About you
- You have a bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years of professional experience in resource management or a related field
- Able to work independently with little supervision
- Willing to coach, direct, oversee or review the work of more junior employees
- Excellent strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Inspire positivity and confidence among interdepartmental teams
- Contribute to departmental staffing and problem solving
- Act as a leader in the department, proactively sharing lessons learned and best practices across teams
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail
- Experience with Workday and strong Excel skills a plus
- Demonstrate accountability and eagerness to learn
- Positive team player with a can-do attitude
