The Embedded Systems Test team is dedicated to building test coverage for all the embedded software and firmware developed by Cruise. We work closely with software development, hardware, and systems teams to achieve our goals. We're are looking for a skilled FGPA Verification Engineer to help us architect and build out our FPGA verification environment. 

What you'll be doing:

  • Collaborate with the FPGA design team to define and implement comprehensive test and validation strategies for FPGA designs
  • Develop and maintain test benches and environments using industry-standard methodologies such as UVM
  • Design and implement automated test frameworks to verify the functionality, performance, and compliance of FPGA designs with specifications and requirements
  • Perform extensive functional and performance testing of FPGA designs using simulation tools and methodologies
  • Set up and maintain FPGA bench setups for testing, characterization, and validation
  • Participate in design reviews to provide recommendations on testability, debug, and validation strategies during the FPGA development lifecycle
  • Continuously enhance test processes and methodologies to improve overall FPGA quality, reliability, and time-to-market

 

What you must have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Solid understanding of high-performance microprocessor/computer architecture
  • 4+ years' experience in FPGA test validation and verification, focusing on IP, UVM, simulation, eFPGA, and test automation
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages, such as C, Python etc
  • Strong understanding of FPGA architectures, HDL languages (VHDL, Verilog), and digital design principles
  • Knowledge of UVM/OVM methodology with the ability to create a block level UVM test benches from the ground up
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills with keen attention to detail. Effective communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

The salary range for this position is $122,400 - 180,000. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
