Data Analyst-Institute for Advanced Medicine-Aids Center Peter Krueger Clinic-Mount Sinai Health System-Full Time-Days
Position Summary:
The Data Analyst is responsible for accurate data entry and reporting, and participating in best information technology data management practices in an effort to improve and ensure quality, streamlining data cleaning efforts and presenting high quality, reportable data.
- Reviews, enters and reports on input data.
- Assists in the development of data management plans and guidelines that will deliver accurate, timelines consistent with quality data. Assures the quality control compliance process.
- Identifies and participates in implementing solutions to data management issues and concerns that arise during the conduct of business or research studies.
- Assists staff with technical issues related to electronic and remote record keeping systems; trains staff to help improve quality of data collected.
- Assists with responding to queries and generating statistical analyses.
- Assists faculty and staff with queries, statistical analyses, reports and technical difficulties related to data retrieval.
- Designs and writes custom applications needed to ensure the database meets requirements for the entry, management and reporting of data.
- Identifies and recommends solutions to data management issues.
- Maintains knowledge of the current regulations and technologies related to data management
- May oversee data entry staff and other less experienced Data Coordinators/Analysts.
- May access data in the Data Warehouse.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, statistics and/or related field. Master’s degree in relevant field of study preferred.
Experience Requirements
2-3 years database application/management experience, preferably in a large medical center or healthcare environment.

Compensation Statement:
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $37.75 - $40.30 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
