Recreation Facility Assistant (Front Desk, Part Time)

 

The Town of Snowmass Village is looking to hire a Recreation Facility Assistant to join our Parks, Recreation and Trails team!     

 

Hourly range: $21.52 - $27.98 

Hiring range: $21.52 - $24.75

We are looking for a Recreation Facility Assistant that will perform specialized clerical support and customer service duties as needed to receive and admit patrons to the recreation center; act as cashier,  guest service agent, perform registration and general public relations duties, answer phone and visitor inquiries, and perform general administrative duties.  

Some of the day-to-day duties are listed below: 

•  Greet  and  receive  the public;  receive  payments  and  fees  and  admits  patrons;  operate  cash register  and  accounts  for  revenues.  Sell  memberships, process  paperwork, maintains accurate records  using  recreation  software  
•  Ensure  all  transactions  at  the  front  desk are  completed correctly following  the  proper procedures 
•  Take registration  and  reservations  for  activities,  rental facilities,  birthday  parties,  classes,  and camps 
•  Daily and throughout  shifts  reads  and  responds  to  all emails,  memos,  and  activity calendars  to  be aware of  schedule changes 
•  Respond  to guest  inquiries  effectively  and  accurately, in person or  using email, phone and  social  media 
•  Display a  professional demeanor and displays courteous, polite, responsive, and respectful behavior to all. Work to establish a  positive rapport with members, guests, and coworkers 
•  Operate concession stand;  sell products, various food items, swimwear, and equipment 
•  Perform scheduled upkeep and maintenance of the facility;  clean floors, walls, windows, cardio &  weight equipment, etc.;  trash removal;  operates vacuum to clean carpeted areas; sweeps and dusts 
•  Monitor general activities of the facility to assure safety

The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:  

• Previous customer service experience 

• Interest in the field of recreation, recreation management or related human services
