St. Matthew’s House has been serving the Southwest Florida community for over 35 years, providing food, shelter, and support to those in need. Our retail stores play a crucial role in funding our programs, and with the opening of a new store, we are seeking individuals who are committed to our mission and eager to help us provide an exceptional shopping experience. 

Job Duties:

As a Seasonal Retail Associate, your responsibilities may include:

• Providing excellent customer service by assisting shoppers, answering questions, and making recommendations that align with our mission. 
• Operating the cash register, handling transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Assisting with organizing merchandise and maintaining the overall appearance of the store to create a welcoming environment. 
• Helping with the set-up and movement of furniture and other large items, ensuring the store is ready for customers.
• Ensuring that all areas of the store are clean, organized, and safe for customers.
• Supporting the team in other tasks as needed to ensure a successful store opening and operation.

• Passionate individuals with a heart for service and a positive attitude. 
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift and move items, including furniture, as needed.
• Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus but not required; we are willing to train candidates who are eager to learn and contribute to our mission.
