About the role
Overview
The core of this internship will include a project working across groups to develop an AI-driven platform for well log analysis. You will participate in technically focused training, professional development training, and team meetings. This internship will include support from your manager as well as our Talent Development team and will end with a presentation to senior leadership.
Responsibilities
OPERATIONS
As an Intern, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the development of an AI-driven platform for well log analysis, focusing on identifying wells for potential critical mineral mining or geothermal conversion.
- Collaborating with SMEs, including IES, Software Experts, and Petrophysicists, to integrate expert insights into the AI model.
- Working closely with customer Account Managers to translate data findings into actionable pursuit plans.
- Completing internal projects to identify business improvements and critical customer outcomes
- Presenting your project outcomes to our Senior Leadership team
- Providing feedback at the conclusion of your internship
COMMUNICATION
- Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external
- Supervisors & Managers should clearly communicate expectations, roles and responsibilities to their reports
- Regularly liaise with SMEs and customer account managers to ensure alignment of project outcomes with commercial objectives.
- Present clear, actionable findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and teams.
Qualifications
Experience & Education
REQUIRED
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in a related field, with a strong foundation in AI and data analytics.
- Be able to legally work in the United States, without company sponsorship or time restriction
PREFERRED
- Exposure to energy services, particulary in new energy and commercialization strategies
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
REQUIRED
- Proficiency in AI, data analytics, and tool usage; strong collaboration and problem-solving skills; capability to translate technical findings into commercial strategies.
- Excellent writing skills
- Articulate, with strong interpersonal skills
- Solid project management acumen
- Self-directed, proactive and curious
- Good proficiency with MicroSoft Suite products (PowerBI, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
PREFERRED
- Understanding of the energy services industry, specifically in areas of mineral mining and geothermal conversion.
