Position Summary

Thales’ Partner Program and Enablement team is seeking a creative, detail-oriented Instructional Designer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable training solutions for our global network of channel partners who resell our leading cybersecurity products – including Data Security, Application Security and Identity & Access Management. These training assets will be solution-oriented and target sales and pre-sales technical Partner audiences.

Essential Functions

  • Apply instructional design principles and adult learning theory to develop engaging and effective learning experiences that address the needs for sales and pre-sales technical personas.
  • Develop high-impact instructional content, including e-learning modules, video scripts, job aids, instructor-led training (ILT), and virtual instructor-led training (vILT) using tools like Articulate 360, Camtasia or similar
  • Design learning paths and role-based curricula that support partner onboarding, product knowledge, competitive positioning, and sales enablement.
  • Incorporate assessment strategies to measure knowledge retention and learner effectiveness (quizzes, certifications, practical activities).
  • Use approved Thales’ brand colors, images, text style, and layout to communicate a specific message
  • Design and develop SCORM compliant e-learning
  • Stay current on cybersecurity trends, competitor offerings, and adult learning innovations to continually improve training programs.
  • Stay current on emerging trends and best practices in instructional design and technology (for example, AI)
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), product managers, and channel teams to conduct needs-analysis meetings to design engaging learning experiences tailored for reseller partners.
  • Work with LMS administrators to publish and manage content on partner training portals and track course completion and feedback.
  • Ensure all content reflects the latest updates to our cybersecurity solutions and aligns with partner program goals

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in instructional design, preferably in a B2B or channel enablement environment.
  • Experience developing technical training content for IT, cybersecurity, or software products.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design methodologies and adult learning theories.
  • Familiarity with partner ecosystems, reseller programs, or channel sales enablement.
  • Proficiency with e-learning development tools (Articulate Storyline/Rise, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, etc.).
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills; ability to translate technical content into engaging learning.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams and tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cybersecurity products (especially in Data Security, Application Security, or IAM).
  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (e.g., Allego preferred, Skilljar or similar).
  • Instructional design certification (e.g., ATD, CPLP, or similar).
  • Experience creating certification programs or microlearning series.
  • Hand-on experiences with AI tools
