In this high-impact role, reporting to the Assistant Controller, you will lead a dynamic team focused on maintaining accurate financial records while driving foundational change across our accounting processes and controls to better align with the needs of the business. Working closely with existing accounting leadership, you will collaborate on the execution of the team's vision. You will play a critical role in the close financial process and work cross-functionally with FP&A and other business partners to ensure alignment and drive process improvements.

How to achieve success:
- Lead your team to complete recurring accounting work on time and with accuracy in a fun and stress-free environment. Because let’s face it, accounting should be fun!
- Develop and execute strategic and tactical plans to continuously improve the department, and work with divisional leadership to share and promote these efficiencies. Let's make accounting better together! Review, recommend and implement best practices regarding accounting policies and processes.
- Accounting is not black and white. Embrace the “grey” landscape and influence proactive business decisions withprovidingtimely accounting guidance. Execute month and year-end close process; challenge current month-end close processes.
- Be comfortable getting into the weeds and working with large data sets. With a do-er mentality, you can take on any challenge that comes your way!
- Effectively communicate and drive issue resolution cross-functionally with partners and leadership. Let's work together to get things done!
Experience that will help you in this role:
- 5+ years in public accounting and/or private accounting.
- Experience in technical accounting research and financial statement preparation and or review
- Demonstrated significant initiative, tenacity, and leadership in previous role(s).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to drive processes into new technologies.
