As we continue to transform the practice of medicine, the next chapter of Sanofi’s Play to Win strategy will require a focus on delivering transformation and simplification of our core processes, optimizing resource allocation and deployment to fuel business growth and investment in science.

To facilitate this transformation, a new Business Operations Business Unit is being established, bringing together existing business service activities, and driving further expansion of centralized services at scale into a global unit, with a focus on driving simplification, efficiency, and productivity.

This new Business Unit will enable the delivery of best-in-class business support capabilities across the organization, incorporating and engaging disparate teams from across areas such as R&D, M&S, the Corporate Functions and GBUs into new global Service Delivery Towers with initial services spanning Commercial, Finance, Procurement and People & Culture.

Reporting to the Head of Contract Solutions and Partnering, the Contract Solutions Partner Team Lead for North America plays a critical role in Sanofi’s North America Key Market, providing contracting guidance and advice, triaging Contracting issues, driving adherence to the Contracting Core model, and working collaboratively with the business and Contract Services teams to anticipate annual contract volumes in an effort to ensure the right-level of resourcing and support is available to manage demands.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead local Contract Solutions and Partnering team and oversee efforts of local contract solution partners based in North America to provide strategic contracting guidance, advice and triage support to Procurement and the business.

  • Drive adherence to contracting core model, working across the enterprise to ensure contracting needs and related services within North America align to contract lifecycle management standards and are integrated as part of the end-to-end contract delivery framework.

  • Identify and monitor deviations to core model and define remediation plans if needed.

  • Work closely with North America teams to anticipate annual contract volumes and resourcing needs to ensure the right-level of support is available to manage demands across each GBU and Corporate Function; provide customer service and triage support in effort to address contract -related issues and bring solutions to resolve.

  • Collaborate with North America management to measure progress and value delivery, including adherence to performance metrics and service specific KPIs.

  • Maintain strong stakeholder and customer relationships across the business to drive simplification and standardization in contracting operations / processes, and to strengthen the contracting control environment.

About you

Qualifications

Required:

  • BA/BS in Legal, Finance, or other business discipline OR extensive experience in contract management (minimum 10 years)

  • 5+ years of experience in complex, global transformations, strategy, operations, and/or consulting, with a focus on contracting services.

  • Proven leadership skills in overseeing the delivery of contracting services, with a focus on executional excellence.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; effective collaborator with strong trust-building and influencing skills.

  • Results-oriented with strong problem-solving skills; ability to drive operational excellence through data-driven insights.

  • Ability to lead teams through change and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).

  • Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time.

  • Experience in managing global teams and operations.
