Job Description Summary
The 1st Operations Leader will provide daily leadership and direction for manufacturing operations supporting either the Rotor Machining or Rotor Assembly & Repair cell’s priorities: safety, quality, delivery, and cost. You will be expected to make business critical decisions in a timely manner while demonstrating leadership and consistency in communicating goals, daily assignments, and process changes for the respective cell.In this role, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute production plans for all 3 shifts of operation that influence short-term and some long-term business goals.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop, coordinate, lead and execute daily production plans consistent with the goals and objectives of the department
- Drive performance metrics and track results for key business priorities as defined by your role i.e. safety, quality, materials management, fulfillment, productivity, and system compliance
- Provide direction and support needs for assigned production associates and/or SAP specialists which includes: resource and coverage planning, scheduling overtime, and supporting cell priorities.
- Monitor adherence to daily production goals and OEE targets
- Drive a continuous improvement environment during cell’s lean transition
- Drive daily schedule attainment to meet all customer commitments with top quality at the lowest cost while implementing a strategy to reduce cycle times, drive VCP, reduce in-process inventory levels, and improve quality and safety
- Work with cross-functional peers to troubleshoot and resolve technical and quality issues as they arise
- Support, encourage and facilitate core manufacturing principles by providing adequate time for training and for teams to accomplish continuous improvement projects
- Work to maintain and further develop shift’s training plan
- Develop and support the growth of all employees
- Support all company workplace policies including attendance and safety objectives
- Work with HR to develop a performance oriented work environment encompassing timely performance appraisals, reviews for new employees, and timely disciplinary action when warranted
- Ensure compliance with business and quality standards
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college OR a High School Diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing leadership (or equivalent coordinator/leadership positions)
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future
- Ability and willingness to work with the off-shift leaders to ensure production demands are communicated and met.
- Flexibility to work across both planning and operations supervision responsibilities
- This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment
- Work 100% onsite at GE Vernova Greenville, SC - Garlington Road location

Pay Transparency
For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $81,700.00 - 109,200.00. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 5% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity and a 5% shift differential rate for off-shifts. This posting is expected to close on October 2, 2025, or thereafter.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
