Job Description:

Shipboard Electronics Technician I

• Performs routine technical functions in support of engineering activities including set up, operations, maintenance, modifications, circuit testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic or electro-mechanical components and systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models and/or specialized test equipment.
• Works from schematics, diagrams, written, and verbal instructions.
• Performs routine operational tests and fault isolation to ensure conformance with design specifications.
• Diagnoses and isolates malfunctions, and makes necessary repairs.
• Repairs or modifies cables and equipment returned by operational users or by personnel in the associated test and development laboratories.
• Participates in special projects, as required.
 

●Education: Associates Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience.

●Experience: 1+ years of related experience fabricating, maintaining and repairing electronic components.

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $29.03 - $39.27. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
