Job Description Summary:

The primary purpose of this role is to provide onsite daily management of the Crisis Center. This role will function as a leader among the Lead Behavioral Technicians and Behavioral Technicians, ensuring frontline processes are efficient and effective, ensuring excellent communication flows freely between leadership and the direct floor staff, and ensuring quality care is provided to the youth served.

 

What You'll Do:

  • In the event of staffing vacancy, the Assistant Director will fulfill the job functions of that staff.

  • Manage staff, e.g., hire, supervise, onboard, performance, and train, lead and behavioral technician staff. Ensure that coaching, rounding, disciplinary action is completed as required. Implement onboarding process to ensure that staff are trained appropriately and completed accurately on training reports.

  • Provide staffing coverage to ensure that the unit is staffed to meet the needs of the youth, on all shift, 24/7/365, including preparing and posting staff schedule. Ensure utilization of positions assigned in schedule are meeting the needs of the individuals served, are in ratio, meet DHSR compliance and acuity.

  • Communicates with shift leadership and local leadership with process or staffing issues, participates in problem-solving and proposing viable solutions to issues and ensures all processes are supportive of superior quality care.

  • Provide care to individuals receiving services in a manner that ensures safety, client rights, confidentiality, dignity, and therapeutic environment.

  • Ensure regulations and requirements are met and maintained for SUD clients needing medical monitoring

  • Conduct functions that contribute to the effectiveness and safety of the unit including crisis intervention, taking vital signs, and observation of individuals receiving services. This also includes ensuring the environment is conducive to recovery.

  • Maintain physical plant of the crisis center. Completes work orders as needed and ensure crisis center maintains compliance with DHSR licensure regulations.

  • Complete administrative functions timely and accurately, such as, but not limited to, timesheets for payroll, EIFs, fire drills, ordering needed supplies, etc.

  • Work with clients and families along with other team members to ensure crisis stabilization unit provides individuals receiving services with a safe and supportive environment consistent with recovery concepts and person-centered and treatment planning.

  • Coordinate and/or implement skill level activities involving the care, treatment, and training of individuals receiving crisis services.

  • Attend and actively participate in meetings and training as required. Complete documentation in EHR as required. Maintain current licensure and certification in all agencies, state, and federal training requirements.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of and comply with all agency policies and procedures, as well as state and federal statutes and regulations related to specific program areas.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and assist in crisis situations.

  • Participate in on call and after-hours coverage, including weekends and holidays as needed.

  • Complete all other relevant responsibilities assigned by the supervisor.

  • Driving and travel may be required.
