Based in West Hartford CT, Triumph Systems, Electronics and Controls is a leading independent aerospace system supplier for the commercial and military helicopter and business jet markets and employs approximately 500 employees. The Company’s key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units, main fuel pumps and environmental control systems for both the OE and aftermarket/spares end markets.

Position

TRIUMPH is actively recruiting a 2024 summer Electrical Design intern with specific knowledge of Obsolescence Tracking, Logistics Planning and Data mining for Electronic & Mechanical Components. 
 

Responsibilities

•Good technical background in Electronic Components
•Able to perform datasheet review and part comparison.
•Familiar with a Product Data Management (PDM) or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools comfortable communicating with internal customers and team-members
•Self-motivated and possess good interpersonal/team skills. 
•Experience with uploading/downloading, parsing, and analyzing electronic files (e.g., Excel format)
•Communicate with PCB contract manufacturers, interface with Supply Chain, Purchasing, Project and Electronics Design
•Generate ‘Where Used’ reports, and accurately track inventory and life-cycle data.

Qualifications

•Qualified candidates must be a rising Junior or Senior, with a minimum GPA of 3.0. 
•Pursuing a Bachelors’ Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
•Good writing ability
•Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
•Good interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels in the organization.
•Relevant Electronics Engineering, Component Selection or Avionics Design experience. 
•Familiarity with Silicon Expert, IHS, CAPSEXPERT, DIGIKEY, FINDCHIPS, OCTOPART or other similar EDA search tools preferred. 
•Familiarity with Omnify Empower PLM tools preferred.
•Able to work independently or across teams.
