Job Summary

PSE&G’s strategic growth organization is leading the next phase of business development and expansion within the utility.   The Manager – Utility Modernization and Growth identifies, investigates and assesses growth opportunities that align with PSEG growth strategy, and helps to assess their viability from a strategic and financial perspective. Develops and maintains effective strategic relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally. Prepares and presents information to senior leadership for consideration of opportunities for strategic business planning.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develops and leads the growth strategy, prioritization, and plan for creating new growth opportunities up to execution for the PSE&G Utility business. Identifies, analyzes, and compares alternative opportunities for entering new markets and adopting new technologies. Anticipates opportunities and trends in the business line, market sector, and adjacent market sector.
  • Performs project management functions by partnering with cross-functional teams comprised of individuals from Finance, Valuation/M&A, Legal, Engineering, L&P, Operations and Construction to assess potential opportunities. Works collaboratively with the leaders of these organizations to ensure high performance and continuous learning in both directions. Presents opportunities to Directors and Utility Officers.
  • Develops and maintains effective strategic relationships with all key stakeholders including industry contacts, potential external business partners, senior leadership and relevant political and regulatory bodies.
  • Develops a deep understanding of PSE&G's business model and competitive positioning as well as the federal and state requirements to inform recommendations through benchmarking, research groups, and Utility industry committee participation.
  • Participates in speaking and industry engagements including conferences, communities of interest, professional associations, etc.
