ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary:

• Maintains general cleaning of the entire casino, front of house bar areas and public space of the facility, excluding kitchens.
• Cleans all offices and public restrooms.
• Transports all trash.
• Cleans up after all special events.
• Maintains front entry way and Porte Cochere
• Reports any problems to EVS Shift Supervisor.
• Adheres to all company, department policies, procedures and safety standards.
• Exhibits a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with customers and fellow teammates.
• Performs any and all duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or Manager.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS  

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Have a High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination or education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• Prefer previous experience cleaning commercial property.              
• While performing the duties of this job, the cast member is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The cast member is occasionally required to climb or balance and smell. The cast member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• While performing the duty of this job, the cast member is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually noisy.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must have good written and oral communication and organizational skills.  Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.

 

Must possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving history as determined by Penn National Gaming’s auto insurance carrier.
