Job Description
Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking candidates for a Senior Executive Chef position at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. This is a management position, responsible for developing and executing culinary solutions to meet customer needs and tastes. Offers a wide variety of culinary solutions to meet customer and client needs and tastes. Oversees and manages culinary operations to meet production, presentation, and service standards. Applies culinary techniques to food preparation and manages the final presentation and service of food.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensures culinary production appropriately connects to the Executional Framework
- Ensures proper culinary standards and techniques are in place for preparation of food items, including production, presentation, and service standards
- Manages a culinary team, including chef managers and hourly staff, to ensure quality in final presentation of food
- Train, coach and manage culinary and kitchen employees to use best practice food production techniques.
- Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food.
- Select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality.
- Establish presentation technique and quality standards.
- Plan and price menus.
- Ensure accurate equipment operation/maintenance.
- Ensure accurate safety and sanitation in kitchen.
- You may cook selected items, no more than 20% of the time.
- You may coordinate special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and/or demonstrates culinary techniques.
- Directly supervises kitchen personnel with responsibility for hiring, mentoring, performance reviews and initiating pay increases.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Culinary Arts degree desired.
- Requires at least 4 years of culinary experience
- At least 2 years in a management role preferred
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- SERV Safe certification and/or HACCP knowledge required.
- Strong computer skills are essential in this role
- NOTE: This client location requires all individuals working on site to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before start date.
