Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital provides a range of birthing experiences and a high level of birthing care. Our state-of-the-art facility offers exceptional medical care and services in a comfortable environment, which include a special care nursery, Level II NICU services, midwife and doula services, breastfeeding support and specially equipped ORs for Cesarean births. As an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) for Labor and Delivery, you will provide clinical supervision and coordinate unit operations with other departmental disciplines under the direction of the Nurse Manager. With an emphasis on professional development and success, you will encourage caregivers to enhance their skills and the patient experience through improvement initiatives and incentives. This position offers a great way to gain extensive leadership experience while continuing to provide the best support and treatment possible.   

 

A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00AM – 7:30PM. 

 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among unit caregivers and other departments/units.  

  • Review major operational patient care issues with Nurse Managers.  

  • Provide ongoing clinical evaluations of caregivers, counsel caregivers on performance issues, administer initial corrective actions and monitor attendance issues. 

  • Counsel employees on performance issues, administer initial corrective actions and collaborate in monitoring attendance issues. 

  • Interview, select and orient new caregivers.  

  • Prepare work schedules to ensure adequate coverage on all shifts.  

  • Participate in and support quality improvement projects, outcomes, studies and research initiatives.  

  • Assume responsibilities of the Nurse Manager in their absence.  

  • Assist in orienting new personnel, continuing education and in-service educational programs. 

 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing 

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)
