About the role

Nemours Children’s Hospital, Florida is seeking to add Pediatric Physiatrist to our growing practice in Orlando, FL.  This physician will have the opportunity to develop Pediatric PM&R services of their interest, as well as participate in the development of new clinics and programs for our complex patients.   

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide Pediatric PM&R outpatient care in our Pediatric PMR clinic at Lake Nona and in satellite clinics in the Orlando area
  • Perform focal chemodenervations for muscle tone management
  • Manage Baclofen pumps

 

Academic opportunities exist for teaching PMR residents, Pediatric residents & Medical students, with faculty appointment through the University of Central Florida School of Medicine, commensurate upon experience, and research opportunities are available throughout the enterprise.  Candidates must be ABPMR board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine. 

This physician will periodically provide inpatient services to cover for vacation. This includes Consultations in acute care units and in Inpatient Rehabilitation 5 bed unit.  Patient care in Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit is shared with Pediatric Hospitalists who serve as primary attending of records. PMR provides consulting service only. PMR calls on Rehabilitation Unit are limited to new acute PMR issues.
