As part of your career at Two you will also have the opportunity to visit our other offices in London and Glasgow. About the role:

Working closely with our CTO and our Architect in our Oslo office as part of our CTO's own R&D team, you’ll collaborate with your amazing colleagues to build world-class user experiences across all of Two's customer and merchant-facing products. You'll have the opportunity to help shape everything we build - from our dashboards, APIs, datastores, checkout, eCommerce plugins, core architecture, infrastructure, and more. You'll be closely involved in the design and prototyping stage of cool new products, as we prepare to grow to truly global scale.

It doesn’t matter what languages you know when you join us. If you can write clean, effective code and learn new languages quickly, we want to talk with you. Our software is constantly evolving; we need engineers who can do the same.

Technologies We Use

• Infrastructure: Kubernetes in GCP
• Build environment: Github Actions, Helm, Terraform
• Back-end languages: Python and Golang
• Front-end technologies: Svelte with Tailwind, SvelteKit, TypeScript and React
• Data storage: PostgreSQL and BigQuery

Your day-to-day will involve

• Contributing to Two's codebase
• Helping to form Two's technical architecture
• Helping set and enforce the technical standards and direction of the team while ensuring alignment with Two business goals
• Mentoring and growing junior team members
• Working with us to grow a healthy, collaborative engineering culture in line with our principles

Requirements

• Strong engineering background in fields such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, and Physics or relevant experience.
• At least 5 years experience writing commercial software in a modern language
• Track record of delivery of complex technical solutions.
• Ability to articulate and evaluate architectural options appropriate to a specific business context.
• Prior experience with high volume transaction processing or payments systems is a plus, as is familiarity with a commercial cloud offering such as GCP, AWS, Azure or similar.
