Purpose

 

The Senior Quality Systems Manager is a high visibility , high impact role both at the site and within the global network of Boston Scientific(BSC). This role leads a team of quality professionals responsible for meeting BSC Quality System requirements  in addition to ensuring compliance to External Regulatory requirements.

The role is responsible for the management of the site Internal audit program, corrective and preventive action system (CAPA), Documentation team, Containment activities and Quality Management review process. In addition, this role is the also the Quality Manager for the capital equipment repair centre.

The Senior Quality Manager is responsible for supporting a culture of quality that facilitates adherence to the BSC Quality System and External Regulatory requirements.

This role is also responsible for establishing an environment of prevention and continuous improvement to ensure we are always improving the quality of patient care and all things Boston Scientific.

The Senior Manager will partner with other functional Senior Managers, divisional partners and the global network to meet customer and business needs in addition to driving efficiencies and improvements of the Quality System.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of employees in the achievement of quality and organisational goals, provide guidance , coaching and training to quality staff. Assist team in achieving department and personal development goals, recruit and maintain a high performing team.
  • Management responsibility for a team of quality professionals, effectively sets team and department priorities and allocates resources as part of department strategic planning.
  • Keeps the organisation’s vision and values at the forefront of decision making and actions.
  • Champion a culture of prevention and continuous improvement across the team, function and site. Demonstrates effective leadership during times of change.
  • Applies professional expertise when recommending compliant solutions and pre-emptively solves problems with consideration for potential broader quality and business impact.
  • Drive and deliver Quality projects to support site, wider business and quality functional goals. In addition to supporting key capital equipment centre goals to ensure high quality and safe products are delivered to customers and patients.
  • Foster a diverse and inclusive workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational goals and objectives. Champion of BSC core values and  behaviours.
  • Builds strategic partnerships across the site and wider BSC network to achieve organizational goals related to the Quality System.
  • Site and Company Quality System representative at meeting with External Regulatory Agencies.

 

Management Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor level 8 Honours degree in Quality/Regulatory or Science background.
  • Minimum 5+ years with demonstrated Quality Management leadership
  • Experience in medical device /pharmaceutical industries preferred
  • Strong technical and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a high performing team and in a matrixed global organisation
