About the job
As an integral member of our team, you will lead a team of commercial product managers to drive profitable sales and increase market share of Hygienic Fluid Handling products in the US. In addition, you will manage one of 5 product groups (Valves, Pumps, Mixing & Blending, Tank Equipment and Installation Material), contributing to the overall success and growth of our organization. Currently, this is hybrid position at our Kenosha, WI office or remote office may be considered if not local to WI area.
As a part of the team, you will:
Portfolio Manager Lead
- Local owner of Hygienic Fluid Handling product plan for US market
- Set portfolio volume and margin targets for HFH in concert with Business Unit Manager
- Consistently monitor performance of product groups against forecast and local targets
- Drives activity plan of team to ensure proper balance of short- and long-term objectives
- Measure Portfolio team against Dashboard monthly where order volume, gross margin targets are key KPI’s
- Drive industry and product initiatives into respective regions
Leadership
- Establish and promote a customer-focused, performance-oriented team
- Develops and maintains a climate of achievement and team spirit that fosters a high level of employee motivation and commitment.
- Provides coaching, guidance, and leadership to achieve business objectives through the professional and technical development of team.
Commercial Management:
- Develops and executes local sales and marketing strategy for the product portfolio
- Identifies new customers, channels and market segments to achieve product growth
- Supports outside sales team with commercial and application knowledge of pump portfolio
- Monitors the project list and works with Channel and Business Development managers to determine strategy (both product and pricing) in order to close projects.
- Visits end users as determined by joint planning with Sales management
- Act as local liaise for Global Pump Portfolio Manager
- Participates in regional tactical planning meetings to support and in some cases, take ownership of specific target accounts
- Identifies opportunities and drives bundled offering whenever possible
Product and Commercial Management for one product area.
Training:
- Provide product training to channel and customer base
- Assess the technical acumen of sales team and supports with training

What you know:
You have an Bachelors degree in business or technical field or equivalent industry experience, and:
- Demonstrated achievements and contributions in marketing, pricing, sales strategies, plans and execution at the national level
- Practical knowledge of fluid handling products, specifically pumps, valves, tank cleaning equipment.
- Industrial sales experience in a business-to-business environment
- Experience must reflect a keen sense of urgency to make things happen through effective planning; and the commitment to monitor, control, follow-up and take corrective actions.
- Requires a solid balance of analytical, strategic, and commercial skills.
- Strong knowledge of excel or other database management programs to mine and analyze data to maximize sales
- Team player with strong evidence of leadership and motivational skills
- Knowledge of Food Processing, Pharmaceutical/ Biopharmaceutical, Cosmetic, Beverage, Dairy and Cheese industry markets, companies, trends and applications, a plus
- Travel – estimated 50%-60%, note if not local to Kenosha location, additional travel expected 80%+
