Mission

Kingfisher is seeking a Mid-Level Systems Architect for a confidential Department of Defense client. Client mission includes:

  • Leading the Department’s strategy and policy on data, analytics, and AI adoption, as well as governing and overseeing efforts across the Department.
  • Enabling the development of digital and AI-enabled solutions across the Department, while also selectively scaling proven solutions for enterprise and joint use cases.
  • Providing a sophisticated cadre of technical experts that serve as a de facto data and digital response force able to address urgent crises and emerging challenges with state-of-the-art digital solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Significant experience in one or more scripting languages such as Python or R, Proficient in one or more big data programming languages, such as Python or Java
  • AI/ML model development, containerization, and productization experience
  • Knowledge Graph construction and reasoning experience, to include experience with property graph or RDF model frameworks.
  • Experience with Elasticsearch and related indexing technologies
  • Previous experience performing research in Data Analytics or Big Data
  • A significant share of your data analytics experience in direct support of military or intelligence community customers, demonstrating progressive technical development and mission-focused outcomes.
  • Significant experience dealing with open source, publicly available information (PAI) data sources and/or forensic media (i.e., DOMEX)
  • Previous experience developing predictive algorithms.
  • Experience supporting cyber security or network security operations.
  • Familiarity with social network analysis, supply chain analysis, forensic accounting, pattern of life, natural language processing, social media analysis, classification algorithms, and/or image processing
  • Experience blending analytical methodologies and leveraging existing COTS/GOTS/OS tools in unconventional manners

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a United States Citizen.
  • Develop plans, road maps, and software design strategies.
  • Capture, develop, and report reference architectures and document compliance standards.
  • Work closely with clients and requirements owners to build product lines.

Years of Experience and Degree Requirement: Bachelor’s degree plus 7-10 years of experience or a

Master's Degree plus 5 years of experience.

Minimum Clearance Requirement: Active Top Secret (TS) must be able to achieve a TS/SCI clearance with scope

Location: Hybrid (2-3 days per week on-site) Falls Church, Pentagon, Alexandria, or Arlington
