The Role:
As a Pre-Sales Engineering Platform (POV) Operations Lead, you will play a pivotal role in Halcyon’s mission to redefine the future of cybersecurity and ransomware resilience. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and exceptional communication skills to deliver proof-of-value engagements that demonstrate the strength and differentiation of Halcyon’s solutions. You will be at the forefront of showcasing Halcyon’s capabilities, conducting advanced technical demonstrations, and managing field engagements to align customer goals with Halcyon’s solutions.
The Pre-Sales Engineering Platform (POV) Operations Lead partners closely with the sales, solution architecture, and customer success teams to drive meaningful engagements that result in successful business outcomes. This is a dynamic role suited for a professional who thrives in fast-paced, customer-centric environments and has a passion for solving complex security challenges.
Responsibilities:

Optimize proof-of-value (POV) engagements, showcasing Halcyon’s cyber resilience solution to customers and partners.

Design and execute POV testing strategies, including endpoint testing, virtual lab configuration, and ransomware simulation.

Collaborate with sales teams to qualify opportunities and align technical demonstrations with business objectives.

Conduct detailed assessments of customer environments to identify gaps and opportunities for Halcyon’s solutions.

Partner with Solution Architects and Product teams to ensure smooth handoffs, accurate technical alignment, and timely feedback loops.

Manage field engagements end-to-end, ensuring customer satisfaction and achieving success metrics.

Provide actionable recommendations to improve customer environments, leveraging industry knowledge and Halcyon’s unique capabilities.

Develop and deliver detailed technical reports and executive summaries post-engagement.

Stay current on emerging threats, industry trends, and competitive intelligence to maintain Halcyon’s position as a market leader.

Build strong advisory relationships with key customer stakeholders, positioning Halcyon as a trusted partner.
Skills and Qualifications:

Strategic Field Architect Tier: 6+ years in an information security or technical field role, with experience in pre-sales, POV delivery, or technical consulting.

Proven ability to deliver complex technical demonstrations, particularly in cybersecurity or resilience-focused solutions.

Expertise in some of the following areas: ransomware lifecycle, endpoint defense, threat intelligence, incident response, and data exfiltration prevention.

Strong experience with API integration, scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash), and data analysis.

Demonstrated ability to gather and leverage competitive intelligence to differentiate Halcyon’s solutions and inform strategic engagements.

Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present to technical and executive audiences effectively.

Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams, driving alignment between sales, engineering, and product management.

Willingness to travel up to 40%, both domestically and internationally, to support customer engagements.

B.A./M.S. degree or equivalent experience in cybersecurity, engineering, or a related technical field.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GIAC, or relevant vendor-specific certifications.
