About the Job:

As a Senior AI Engineer at OneStream, you will lead pivotal AI development projects within our advanced data science engine
powering OneStream AI-Services. Your primary function will involve overseeing the entire lifecycle of AI and software subsystems—from defining requirements and designing systems to project planning and implementation. This critical role is instrumental in enhancing our AI capabilities, directly impacting our products' performance and scalability across various markets.

In this position, you will also play a key leadership role, collaborating with cross-functional teams including Solution Engineering, AI Delivery, and Cloud Engineering. Your expertise will not only drive innovation but also mentor and guide other engineers, ensuring high-quality deliverables and promoting a culture of excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Lead development on complex subsystems that are part of a data science engine specialized in time-series forecasting.
• Design software subsystems and lead the project management and timely execution.
• Use Python and SQL to build AI systems and functionality.
• Prepare for future technology integrations, such as transitioning to Linux environments and adopting Kubernetes for better scalability and deployment.
• Analyze statistics, data and algorithms to make strategy recommendations.
• Stay current on AI knowledge, trends and regulations to guide new initiatives and inform future development activities.
• Ensure the reliability of releases through thorough testing and documentation.

Qualities of a Successful Candidate:

Formal Education and Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, or relevant combination of education and experience.

Knowledge and Experience:

• 3-5 Years experience building and deploying production-level machine learning solutions or similar experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in Python and SQL.
• AI and Machine Learning experience.
• Experience with software management systems (ex: Jira).

Preferred Experience:

• Project Management
• Experience with the following python packages: jit, polars, pandas, plotly, sklearn, pytest.
• Azure cloud-based architecture and technologies.
• Webservices and API frameworks (Flask, FastAPI, etc.).

Personal Attributes:

• Quick learner who can understand and self-teach new technologies.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize ongoing activities based on importance.
• Strong organization skills to lead and deliver complex projects on schedule.
• Writes code using timeless software design patterns (dependency injection, volatility decomposition, etc.).
• Capable and comfortable effectively presenting in front of your peers.
• Comfortable engaging and presenting to C-level executives from time to time.
