Project Overview:

Bechtel is building a semiconductor manufacturing plant in New Albany, Ohio. We are partnering with the North America Building Trades Unions and suppliers to create several thousand new jobs and work with local education organizations to implement new training programs that will support the future talent pipeline. Bechtel Manufacturing & Technology, Inc. offers engineering, procurement, and construction services for customers in the semiconductor manufacturing, electric vehicle, and data center markets. Headquartered in Reston, Virginia, the M&T global business unit also includes colleagues working in Arizona, Ohio, Texas, India, and additional project locations around the world.

Job Summary:

In this position, you will lead a team to manage cost engineering, cost estimating, cost analysis/control, forecasting, and planning/scheduling activities for a project that requires technical skill and expertise. You will provide leadership, oversight, guidance, training, and mentoring to your team on key project procedures and risk management to ensure successful project execution and delivery. #LI-BH1

Job Dimensions:

• Supervision Received - Reports to and receives technical guidance and operational supervision from designated supervisory personnel.
• Supervision Exercised -  Provides technical and operational direction to assigned personnel, when delegated.
• Contacts - Maintains relationships with project personnel, particularly with individual discipline group leaders and engineers.

Major Responsibilities:

• Prepares Project Controls plans, and detailed internal manpower utilization plans for discipline or specialty activities. 
• Assists in preparing cost data for proposals or contract negotiations.
• Participates in developing and presenting training classes on designated subjects and on-the-job training programs.
• Conducts personnel performance reviews, when delegated.
• Interviews candidates and makes recommendations for employment decisions. 
• Determines scope definition requirements for a discipline or other specialty and works with Engineering and other sources to coordinate the production of required data to conform to the overall estimate preparation plan.
• Performs or coordinates quantity development and verification for a discipline or specialty.
• Develops, or assists in the development of, quantity bases for assumption. 
• Performs, or coordinates the performance of, pricing structure development and application to takeoffs, derived quantities, quantity assumption, and cost allowances within a discipline or other specialty.
