What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will manage and coordinate clinical budget and related pricing strategy services for Clinical Study Teams for the purpose of executing a Clinical Trial or ancillary services Agreement.

Responsible for:

• Primary liaison with Amgen & Vendor IS teams to support system architecture

• Ensuring monthly Accounts Payable Upload Files are processed accurately and timely

• Oversee and manage internal IS systems & tools to support Clinical Pricing & Payment processes including: Oracle database, Informatica ETL process, Spotfire Reports

• Oversee and manage macro enabled Study & Site Payment Setup Tools and GBW Uploader

• Conducting research and providing subject matter expertise and consult on payment system

• Recruit, manage and develop staff and allocate appropriate resources for systems team workload

• Creating, maintaining & providing metric and other department information to GDO senior leadership

Oversight for daily operations

• Drive the development of innovative and technical payment solutions and processes

• Contribute to and drive forward the strategic direction and functional goals

• Ensure adherence to Amgen’s Quality Methodology for software development, including requirements definition and user acceptance testing

• Maintain systems validation documentation and other documentation

• Ensure PnP systems and procedures are followed by department members

• Address deviations and take corrective action or suggest changes if needed

• Review all payment configuration mappings output for quality and compliance department procedures and policies

• Ensure daily/weekly/monthly PnP systems support tasks are completed

• Create and oversee Clinical payments financial & accounting reports

Department Processes & Procedures

• Ongoing review of internal processes to streamline, or create new more efficient processes

• Identify and implement process updates as needed

• Develop & maintain training material for use of Pricing & Payment systems

• Oversee quality controls amongst staff, CWs, and Vendors

Resource Allocation

• Regular review of team workload & study timelines to appropriately plan and distribute systems support workload

Dept Metrics

• Preparation of ad hoc reports relating to dept metrics, performance, or other data for senior leadership within GDO

• Review of data entered into systems for accuracy and completeness

Basic Qualifications:

• Doctorate degree & 2 years of clinical pricing and payment related experience OR

• Master’s degree & 4 years of clinical pricing and payment related experience OR

• Bachelor’s degree & 6 years of clinical pricing and payment related experience OR

• Associate’s degree & 10 years of clinical pricing and payment related experience OR

• High school diploma / GVP & 12 years of clinical pricing and payment related experience AND

• 2 years of direct managerial and/or leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting

• 9 years work experience in financial support or contract administration role

• Previous management experience of direct reports, including management level staff.

• Experience leading a team that works cross-functionally

• Familiarity with general pharmaceutical industry guidelines
