Position Summary

CVS Health is seeking a Lead Director, CFO to lead and manage all financial aspects of the National Accounts and Private Organization Employer Group Medical Business. This is a leadership position within a fast-paced environment providing the right individual an opportunity to support the business in successfully delivering both long- and short-term financial targets. This role will be based in Hartford, CT and will report to the CFO of Aetna Commercial Segments. Leading and developing of team of 3 direct reports.

You will be responsible for:  

• Managing business relationships with the NA and PEO leadership teams and shared service partners. 

• Partner with leadership to set achievable growth and financial targets. Assist with the development of financial budgets and forecasts.  Use analytics to help support forecasting assumptions. Partner with actuarial on fully insured results and underwriting on ASC goals. Full ownership of self-insured fee projections and all membership drivers.

• Ensuring business partner accountability through regular tracking and reporting of actionable metrics and results to ensure successful achievement of financial goals. 

• Partnering with business and finance teams to ensure control environment and achieve financial targets.

• Supporting robust business case development to ensure investments are being utilized to maximize and deliver both short and long term strategic and financial goals.

• Support a culture of cost management excellence through ongoing reviews of direct cost center expenses and ongoing review of allocated expenses to the business units.

Required Qualifications

• 10 years of progressive finance experience, preferably in the healthcare or supplemental benefits industry.

• Bachelor’s Degree in finance, economics, or a business-related discipline. 

• Strong analytical knowledge base and financial acumen, with proven ability to vision, strategize, and develop actionable tactics against key facts and data insights.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills with an ability to successfully balance business priorities and maintain a sense of urgency.

• Ability to problem solve, identify, and remove roadblocks, triage, and prioritize issues.

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint ; SharePoint; knowledge of dashboard applications such as Tableau; QuickBase, Hyperion,   (or other similar technologies)

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in finance, economics, or a business-related discipline.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,540.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
