THE JOB:
 

As an Assistant Executive Steward at MGM Grand, you will oversee daily stewarding operations to ensure smooth, cost-effective operations for our restaurant outlets while enhancing the guest experience. You’ll supervise a team, manage inventory, and maintain the highest cleanliness standards. This is your opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced team environment.
 

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Supervise operational functions, including inventory control, equipment inspections, and cleanliness of all banquet areas.

• Manage and monitor the requisition process for cleaning supplies, equipment, dinnerware, flatware, and glassware.

• Lead and coach the stewarding team, heavily involved in the training of new staff and performance management.

• Oversee the execution of company policies, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
   

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• 2+ years of prior stewarding experience preferably in a hotel or casino setting

• Previous experience supervising staff and managing employees to a Collective Bargaining Agreement

• Ability to work varied shifts, including graveyard, weekends, and holidays.

• Knowledgeable regarding OSHA and The Health Department’s safety guidelines

• Experience managing a large team in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
