Join our ambitious, joyful, and dedicated team of multidisciplinary experts of hydraulic and environmental engineers, biologists, geographers, landscape architects  as our new Head of Department for Water &amp; Climate, Planning, and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.</p><p><strong>Your new role</strong></p><p>As our new Head of Department for Water &amp; Climate, planning, you will ensure collaboration across our organisation, engage with clients, partners and universities, support the project and tender teams, and develop and assist the 3 teams, while developing existing and new competences and services in the department. The department is working with national as well as international projects and clients, and the employees are a great mix of nationalities and backgrounds - all eager to be frontrunners in the development of impactful consultancy services to water utilities, authorities, industries, and private sector clients to provide sustainable solutions, protect against flood risks and create resilient and maybe even regenerative societies. The department’s services include hydraulic modelling, planning and conceptual design of sustainable water infrastructure, nature-based solutions for storm surge protection, permitting, river restoration as well as key expertise within LCA and strategic sustainability in the water sector. The services and competences in the department are often integrated in projects across our Water division in Denmark as well as internationally, while others are anchored directly in the department.</p><p>Your key responsibilities will be:</p><ul><li>To inspire, motivate and engage with our water experts, partners and clients by inclusive leadership, natural drive, and curiosity.</li><li>Leading the business development, secure a healthy business, and to support project deliveries in high quality in close collaboration with the 3 team leads and the +35 water experts in the department.</li><li>Working with leaders across the business to support a strong collaboration and secure resource allocation to the benefit of our employees and clients’ projects.</li><li>Facilitating an active participation in innovation, automation, and digitization within our existing and future service areas.</li></ul><p><strong>About you</strong></p><ul><li>A strong passion for creating sustainable solutions and regenerative design.</li><li>Enthusiastic about developing employees and leaders of the future.</li><li>Educational background within Urban Water Management, Climate Adaptation, Sustainability, and/or Urban Planning – e.g. as a Civil Engineer, Master of Science, Architect or similar.</li><li>Min. 5 years of experience within climate adaptation and/or storm surge.</li><li>A strong passion for creating sustainable solutions and regenerative design.  </li><li>Fluent in English and Danish (written and oral).</li><li>Strong business mindset and a natural interest for financial performance.</li><li>Experience as project manager and people management from consultancy business, utilities, or authorities.</li><li>Experience from both Danish, Nordic, and international projects will be a positive.</li></ul><p><strong>What we can offer you</strong></p><ul><li>Commitment to your development.</li><li>Leaders guided by our Leadership Principles.</li><li>A culture that welcomes you as the unique person you are.</li><li>Inspiration from colleagues, clients, and projects.</li><li>The long-term thinking of a foundation-owned company.</li><li>Collaboration with empowered and enthusiastic colleagues and clients in shaping the sustainable cities and infrastructure of the future, nature-based solutions, and ambitions for creating regenerative and resilient societies.</li><li>Being part of a strong water leadership team in Denmark and globally.</li></ul><p><strong>Ready to join us?</strong></p><p>Please submit your application with your up-to-date CV.
