Description

JOB SUMMARY

Operates mix, extrude, grain machining, and final assembly equipment via control center. Assists Area Supervisor in leading and managing personnel in Building 90 production and Building 91 materials facility. 


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Remotely operates machine equipment using control panels and computer systems
  • Monitors control panel for alarms of all production equipment from mixing to final assembly, stops production when required, and alerts supervisor and proper personnel (example: safety, maintenance, engineering, etc.) to rectify alarm situation
  • Assists production supervisor with oversight of operations and operators in their assigned area(s)
  • Orders materials to keep production lines running
  • Writes and reconciles grain batch route sheets
  • Completes all required daily production paperwork/ documentation for their assigned area(s) of responsibility and ensures that paperwork is submitted to the required personnel at the end of shift
  • Ensures batch counts are being performed accurately on every batch being processed at each required process level to maintain batch integrity and traceability
  • Other duties assigned by supervisor to include but not limited to cleaning of all production equipment 
  • Performs all duties of Advanced Flare Technicians and Advanced Material Handlers when needed


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

  • Assists Production Supervisor in leading all operations personnel within Building 90 production and Building 91 materials facility

Requirements

EDUCATION

  • Associates degree or technical degree (controls/PLC or similar) preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience

EXPERIENCE

  • Three years of related experience in a manufacturing environment (machine operations preferred)
  • Working experience with FANUC robotics 
  • Previous leadership experience preferred

SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to pass physical exam for use of respirators and Pyro suit
  • Pyro suit certified within 30 days
  • Ability to lead teams in daily operations
  • Excellent computer operating skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Critical/analytical thinking ability
  • Ability read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and process specifications
  • Will be required to take an aptitude assessment
  • Strong communication skills


PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to handle energetic and non-energetic material
  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
