Senior Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities:

Mechanical engineer with Solidworks experience to design frame and components for automated equipment:

• Create mechanical designs and concepts for products and complex custom automated equipment with multi-axis motion
• Review and approve mechanical drawings
• Mentor and train new engineers
• Supplier management -main point of contact for account management, expectations, and overall standards
• Execute commissioning and qualification documentation at FAT to ensure check-out, install and start-up is completed per documentation
• Interface and manage vendors to obtain quotes, provide components, and meet requirements.
• Complex quality checks which require an intricate understanding of the machine vision systems and operation
• Troubleshooting and resolution for problems and issues encountered during project execution activities

Requirements

•  5-7 years of demonstrated design experience
• Ability to work onsite at client facility in Indianapolis, IN for initial work, then potential hybrid or remote (TBD)
