Senior Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities:
Mechanical engineer with Solidworks experience to design frame and components for automated equipment:
- Create mechanical designs and concepts for products and complex custom automated equipment with multi-axis motion
- Review and approve mechanical drawings
- Mentor and train new engineers
- Supplier management -main point of contact for account management, expectations, and overall standards
- Execute commissioning and qualification documentation at FAT to ensure check-out, install and start-up is completed per documentation
- Interface and manage vendors to obtain quotes, provide components, and meet requirements.
- Complex quality checks which require an intricate understanding of the machine vision systems and operation
- Troubleshooting and resolution for problems and issues encountered during project execution activities
Requirements
- 5-7 years of demonstrated design experience
- Ability to work onsite at client facility in Indianapolis, IN for initial work, then potential hybrid or remote (TBD)
