Job Description

The ServiceNow Security Organization (SSO)  

The ServiceNow Security Organization (SSO) delivers world-class, innovative security solutions to reduce risk and protect the company and our customers. The Cloud Security Instructional Designer will be responsible for maintaining and improving courseware that enables employees, customers, and partners to understand ServiceNow platform security.  

In addition to maintaining the training courses, this role includes capturing changes to content, developing a recertification course, maximizing the impact and effectiveness of the program, and improving user experience. 

The successful candidate will be a creative and resourceful team player with the drive to deliver meaningful and engaging training on time in a fast-paced environment. They will have the flexibility to learn new products and technologies quickly, as well as having experience with adult learning principles and course development methodologies.  

What you get to do in this role:  

  • Manage scheduled updates for existing content to ensure that it remains current and relevant using the following programs: Articulate 360, Synthesia, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Cloud 

  • Use technical design, development, and creative skills to create engaging online content, and recommend new approaches to innovate content development 

  • Ensure that the development of materials is per required standards and brand guidelines, including accessibility, quality, and sustainability requirements. 

  • Participate in quarterly program review to help support the learning path development roadmap 

  • Record changes made to training content to support an annual recertification program 

Qualifications

Skills/qualifications: 

  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI’s potential impact on the function or industry. 

  • A bachelor’s degree and/or 1-3 years of instructional design, adult learning, distance learning, and Learning Management Systems (LMS) content development experience 

  • Experience in graphics, templates, icons, and other multimedia throughout the instructional design process and eLearning development 

  • Experience with Articulate 360 or similar tools a bonus 

To be successful in this role you will need to: 

  • Have knowledge of adult learning principles and course development working practices 

  • Be resourceful, self-motivated, and able to independently manage workload with a high degree of initiative, strong collaboration skills, and the abilities to communicate ideas and decisions, and receive feedback from stakeholders 

  • Be a strong team player and excellent communicator with the ability to foster positive and productive relationships
