Reporting directory to the Vice President & General Manager, Canada with a dotted line to our Quench USA Human Resources team, the HR Business Partner you will play a significant role in supporting our HR functions across Canada in the provinces of Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia and Alberta.
This role will provide valuable insights and proactive solutions to address organizational challenges. In addition to executing talent acquisition, employee relations, engagement, and compliance programs in our Canadian locations, this role is actively engaged with leaders and HR Shared Services teams at Culligan and Quench to ensure the implementation of strategic Human Resources initiatives.

In addition to executing talent acquisition, employee relations, engagement, and compliance programs in our Canadian locations, this role is actively engaged with leaders and HR Shared Services teams at Culligan and Quench to ensure the implementation of strategic Human Resources initiatives.
What you are great at doing:
- HR Business Partnering
- Cultivate strong partnerships and serve as a trusted advisor to managers on HR-related matters, including employee relations, performance management, recruitment, people operations processes and organizational development.
- Act as a liaison between the VP, Canadian Leaders, and HR leadership, effectively communicating HR initiatives and updates.
- Coordinate with Human Resources Shared Services teams regarding all local employment activity (i.e., hiring, employee relations, compliance, terminations, etc.) within the footprint.
- Assist in conducting and resolving escalations regarding employee complaints and concerns.
- Minimal travel will be required (quarterly at most- QC/ON & BC)
- Talent Acquisition and Management
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Collaborate with hiring managers and Talent Shared Services resources to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies throughout the recruitment process.
- Facilitate and ensure compliance with Talent and Performance Management programs.
- Compliance and Reporting
- Implement and monitor company policies, programs and procedures in the areas such as development, total rewards, compliance, and engagement to attract, retain, and motivate team members.
- Manage compliance with provincial and federal laws and regulations relating to employment-related requirements.
- Ensure accurate management of employee information, such as personal data, compensation, benefits, tax data, attendance, performance reviews or evaluations, disciplinary actions, and terminations/separations of employment
- Assist with HR Audits as applicable.
- Gather and analyze HR data to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities; Provide insights and recommendations to HR and business leaders to drive informed decision-making.
What you need to be successful:
- A minimum of 3 -5 years of progressive experience in HR roles, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of HR practices and regulations.
- A CHRP or CHRL Designation
- Bi-Lingual in English and French is an asset!!!
