Job Summary:
As an electrical engineer I, you will be responsible for supporting the Advanced Radar RF and Digital Department. You will be working as a member of a engineering team at the Dallas/Plano/McKinney site and under the guidance of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead in Dallas/Plano, and/or McKinney, Texas.
This position is an onsite role.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Troubleshooting hardware and process issues down to circuit card assembly (CCA)/Module and component levels to include analog/digital/power circuitry and interfaces.
Troubleshooting test sets down to component level to include analog/digital/radio and microwave frequency circuitry and interfaces.
Analysis of test data of products to make sure test specifications are met through use of SW (MATLAB) tools.
Reading and interpreting and applying engineering drawings, including assembly drawings, parts lists, wire lists, and schematics.
This job is 100% Onsite.
This position can be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Post Graduate based on the candidate's classification as determined by grad year on resume and provided via questionnaire by candidate as outlined below:
(Freshman Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program.
(Sophomore Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program
(Junior Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program
(Senior Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program
(Post-Graduate Technical Intern)- must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications You Must Have) by start of internship.
Basic Qualifications:
Must be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Post Graduate by the start of Summer 2024 in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics STEM major.
Course level work in electronics and electronic components.
Experience with coding.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Preferred Qualifications:
ABET is the preferred, although not required accreditation standard. A 3.0 cumulative GPA desired.
Experience with troubleshooting electronics
Experience with coding
Experience with reading and interpreting schematics.
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
Experience with working in a team environment and manage priorities on multiple tasks.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with coworkers from diverse communities and cultures.
Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles.
