We have a great opportunity open on our team for a Senior National Meeting & Events Manager out of our National Center in Dallas, Texas (flexible work arrangements are available)

Responsibilities
- Meetings and Events team lead responsible for the International Stroke City-Wide Conference planning and execution.
- Develops and manages the budget for show management, audiovisual, and food/beverage and related expenses for the International Stroke Conference.
- Manages all RFP, site selection, pre-planning and on-site execution processes for International Stroke Conference and other senior level scientific and corporate meetings as assigned.
- Negotiate and execute hotel and vendor contracts to secure the most appropriate and cost-effective arrangements.
- Works strategically with the Office of Science Operations, other internal departments and regions to accomplish event-related goals.
- Manages revenue and budget for established portfolio while identifying potential cost savings and revenue gains.
- Manages project timelines, deadline compliance and effective communication and dissemination of both.
- Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Establishes positive relationships with volunteers including communication expectation building and anticipation of needs.
- Manages Association’s Master Calendar of Events
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in meeting planning, medical association meetings
- Ability to maintain detailed event management-related current and historical data.
- Knowledge of event management technology.
- Strong organizational skills needed to manage multiple events simultaneously,
- Ability to manage project time and workload efficiently.
- Ability to think logically and solve problems.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
Travel Requirements
- Approximate 20% to 30% of travel required
Preferred Requirements
- Certified Meeting Planner (CMP)
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in meeting planning, medical association meetings
