Job Summary
The Physical Therapist is under the general direction of the Facility Manager. The main focus of the Physical Therapist is to provide superior outpatient rehabilitation services through a collaborative care model with our physicians in order to optimize performance and enhance the quality of function for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Exceptional patient care
- Interprets physician orders, performs initial evaluations and establishes treatment plans and functional goals
- Responsible for upgrading and amending the treatment goals as necessary during the episode of care
- Written documentation on patient status to physicians per compliance guidelines of IBJI rehab
- Determine appropriate discharge timeline and appropriate follow up
- Supervision of Rehabilitation Technicians with patient care and administrative staff as needed
- Compliance with daily paperwork. PT/PTAs/ATCs are responsible for documenting all treatment in patient charts in a timely manner (initial evals, daily notes, progress notes, discharges, HEP)
