Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Associate Degree in Nursing

 

Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written

 

Considerable knowledge of nursing

 

Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Outlook

 

Adult Immunization Knowledge

 

Licensure, Registration, Certification:

 

BLS

 

One of the following:

• Current Alabama RN license
• Current Multi State RN License in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama*

*Infirmary Health abides by the NLC requirements and guidelines for the state of Alabama

 

The following certifications required within 6 months of placement in position in Employee Health:

• Breath Alcohol Technician
• Non-DOT UDS Certification
• Proficient in Phlebotomy

Desired Qualifications:

 

BSN

 

Desired Licensure, Registration, Certification:

 

Clinical specialty in Occupational Health

Responsibilities

Serves as resource expert in Employee Health by providing advanced practice, theories, and techniques gained through education, training, and experience to maximize quality patient/service outcomes.
