Classification: Non-Exempt

Reports To: Director of Maintenance

Job Summary/Objective

Maintain the Drinking Water Distribution System by performing the various testing requirements according to regulations, policies, and procedures. 

Essential Functions

  • Test drinking water systems according to regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Assure all testing is submitted in a timely manner
  • Perform activities to verify compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Assist QA in the proper documentation and test techniques
  • Perform day to day testing as required to maintain drinking water systems
  • Report any anomalies or variances as required
  • Work independently or as a team member to accomplish assigned tasks
  • Any other duties as assigned

Requirements

Competencies

  • Persistence, attention to detail, honesty, organization and planning.
  • Strong work ethic, listening skills 
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and Windows based software

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities. 

Work Environment

The worker will work in an office environment, outdoor environment and a food processing environment. Worker will be exposed to various climates including extreme cold weather and extreme hot weather.

Physical Demands

This job involves medium work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of lifting occasionally.

The worker will be required to have a range of motion as follows: 

  • Often requires sitting or standing for sustained periods of time. 
  • Occasionally requires stooping and reaching. 
  • Occasionally requires walking, moving or climbing to accomplish tasks. 
  • Lifting is required on an occasional basis.
  • Often requires fine hand movements.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Part-time position. Expected to work one day a week as scheduled. May be required to work varied schedule as needed. Some weekend work as needed

Travel

Local and regional travel is required. 

Required Education and Experience

  • Extensive knowledge of Drinking Water regulations and testing
  • Drinking Water Certification Required.
  • Current valid driver’s license and a good driving record are required.
  • 1 to 3 years’ experience.
