Task requirements  

Domestic Considerations: The post offers a high attendance level and hybrid working days when appropriate, with the opportunity to work upwards of 48 days per year. Working pattern can involve week days and weekends during modular and consolidated courses. Army Reserve post, based in MERSEYSIDE with some travel and overnight duty required.

Position Role: Section Commander ATU (North).

Responsibilities:

1. Perform the duties of a Section Commander delivering army reserve basic training CMS(R) Refine+.
2. Key responsibility is to delivery SAA to their allocated section within the Basic Training Platoon to WHT standard.
3. Fully conversant and compliant with all aspects of Basic training, either leading or supporting its delivery.
4.  Assist the Platoon Commander with compiling Recruits report books and the Platoon Sergeant with administration.
5.  Lead Recruits and inspire individual achievement as per the ARITC code of practice for instructors.
6.  Undertake any additional tasks as required by the CoC.
7.  Maintain regular engagement with own cap badge ensuring the individual remains SQEP within CEQ.
8.  Any other tasks as directed by the CoC.

Essential competencies  

DTc(A) (DTTTv2), AASAA, AADI (Basic) - These qualifications can be gained after arrival in post if not already qualified. 

Suitable & Recommended on last SJAR for Phase 1 training.

The advert states SC vetting but some posts only require CTC.

Desirable competencies  

B & D Veh Driving Licence recommended.

RMQ, DCCT user, BCD, CBRN desirable

We are a satellite training location who offer reservist the ability to train locally in a modular fashion. The unit is small with approximately 70 personnel. With our HQ in Strensall and 2 training companies based in Strensall and Liverpool. We welcome and train reserve recruits from all over the UK.

This role will also give you the opportunity to undertake training courses that may not be available to you through your own unit, such as skill at arms, range qualifications, CBRN, First aid and Map Reading.

This is a reservist role that can offer up upwards of 48 days per year, working pattern can involve weekdays and weekends during modular and consolidated courses.
