In this role, you will: The incumbent will serve as a Lead Mechanical Engineer and work with a team to identify problems and develop solutions for experimental manufacturing and converting assets, and facility support systems. The incumbent will provide leadership and support to the development, design, installation and/or optimization of new or existing assets. The incumbent will collaborate broadly inside the corporation with R&E, pilot facility, mill and multifunctional team members, and outside the corporation with vendors. The incumbent will report to a Family Care Operations and Engineering Team Leader.
Provide leadership by example in safety, ethics, quality, regulatory, sustainability, inclusion and diversity while managing self in accordance with expected KC competencies.
Coach and mentor team members to increase technical understanding and ability to execute programs to improve business results.
Conceive, develop, validate, and share ideas leading to new or improved products, processes, materials, systems or scientific knowledge aligned with business unit objectives while forecasting business needs 3 plus years out to drive long term competitive advantage.
Prepare and implement project and facility budgets and schedules. Implement appropriate internal controls and standards to ensure compliance with applicable policies, laws and regulations.
Maintain technical and scientific expertise in an area of technology and communicate impact of developments on Kimberly-Clark.
Communicate appropriately and effectively with all customers, internal and external, conducting all communications and transactions with the utmost integrity and honesty so as to build an unimpeachable business reputation.
Drive a culture of protected and documented innovation to protect and defend K-C proprietary technology, products, and business processes through appropriate use of patents and trade secrets. This includes completing required project documentation through EFS, EDR, and Appropriation activities and following PMP documentation including Corporate Financial Instructions (CFIs).

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree or a PHD degree in Mechanical Engineering, or relevant discipline (e.g. Science or Engineering related)
2 plus years of related technical experience in mill, production or staff R&E assignments.
Preferred
Preferred candidate has high-speed converting and/or paper manufacturing experience. Key technology areas include:
Mechanical Design and 3D printing experience.
Knowledge of or willingness and ability to learn paper manufacturing and converting expertise
