About the role
- Maintain company specification, label and product databases.
- Generate and approve labels and packaging.
- Perform data entry for label system.
- Generate and maintain USDA label approvals and other Regulatory documentation.
- Assist with product development from concept to commercialization.
- Assist in the planning and execution of product concept demonstrations for existing and potential new customers.
- Assist in continuous cost reduction of existing products while protecting/enhancing the organoleptic quality of products.
- Provide physical assistance in production line tests, commercialization of new products and in continuous improvement efforts on the production floor.
- Other related tasks and projects as required.
- B.S. Food Science, Meat Science or related fields of study,
- Theoretical knowledge of further processing, equipment and packaging.
- Bi-lingual language skills preferred.
- Computer skills in Microsoft word, Excel and Power Point.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge of statistics.
- Must be willing to work early morning hours, evening hours and weekends when necessary.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management.
