We are currently seeking a Certified Plumber and Maintenance Technician to support our multifamily communities in the area. This role is ideal for a skilled technician with certified plumbing experience who is also eager to contribute to general property maintenance.This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team with a modern approach to property management and ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Plumbing & Construction- Install and repair gas lines, water lines, drainage systems, and custom piping.
- Fabricate and install pipes, valves, tanks, pumps, and fixtures.
- Cut openings in walls, ceilings, and floors for plumbing systems.
- Operate equipment such as threading machines, torches, and grinders.
- Prepare estimates and recommend plumbing repairs, upgrades, or replacements.
- Ensure plumbing systems comply with relevant building codes and standards.
- Complete all service requests, punch lists, preventative maintenance, and unit turns.
- Perform general maintenance including electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and appliance repair.
- Conduct building inspections and resolve resident maintenance concerns promptly.
- Maintain organized inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Document all maintenance work clearly and accurately.
- Ensure all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and professionally.
- Communicate effectively with residents, guests, and fellow team members.
- Represent Sharpline professionally in all interactions.
- Take direction from Maintenance Supervisor and collaborate with team members as needed.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Licensure: Valid Journeyman Plumbing License.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience; at least 6 months in apartment settings. Supervisory experience preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Plumbing, carpentry, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC (certification a plus), and general maintenance.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (trade school preferred).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders up to 30 ft, and work in confined spaces or all weather conditions.
- Soft Skills: Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Availability for on-call, weekend, and extended hours.
