POSITION OVERVIEW:
As the Head of Learning and Talent Development, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our organization by designing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive learning and talent development strategy. This role is critical in ensuring that our team members, especially in the operations, manufacturing, and supply chain domains, have the knowledge and skills required to excel in their roles and drive the company's success. You will be responsible for shaping the learning culture, identifying development needs, and creating programs that nurture talent and promote continuous improvement.
This position will report directly to the Director of Talent Development at the Corporate Headquarters in Austin, Minnesota.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead and inspire the learning team (10). This includes oversight of business unit training managers, learning operations, technology, and instructional design. Develop and implement formal onboarding and upskilling program for new and existing learning team.
- Learning Strategy: Develop and execute learning and talent development strategies for the enterprise focused on upskilling and reskilling the workforce to support our business objectives and priorities. There will be a heavy emphasis in creating and driving strategy for one supply chain which includes operations, planning, procurement, and logistics. Collaboration with leadership and department heads will be essential to assess for development needs which will be used to create strategies to mitigate gaps.
- Consultation and Leadership: Consult and advise on effective development strategies, performance management, and learning programs to senior leaders, HR business partners, and key stakeholders to build a culture of learning across the enterprise.
- Learning Programs: Using established learning methodologies design, implement, and evaluate learning programs to ensure team members acquire knowledge and skills in a meaningful and engaging way.
- Needs Assessment: Conduct needs assessment and analysis to determine skills and behavior gaps and learning needs to develop impactful strategies.
- Curriculum & Content Development: Develop structured learning plans including learning objectives, blended modalities, evaluation, and long-term reinforcement. Develop or curate learning materials for highly engaging learning experiences.
- Instructional Design: Apply instructional design principles to structure learning experiences including identifying appropriate instructional strategies, creating content outlines, defining assessments, and experiential activities.
- Learning Evaluation: Evaluates effectiveness of new and current programs and adjust as needed to future-fit our team members. Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and statements of work.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in business, organizational development, psychology, or a related field.
