In this opportunity as Attorney Editor you will:
- Editorial Tasks:
- Source, review, and maintain legal commentary content.
- Manage third-party and internal relationships to ensure timely content delivery.
- Adhere to publishing schedules and quality standards.
- Verify accuracy and completeness of legal content.
- Stay current with legal trends and market developments.
- Support workflows and projects for online, print, and e-book products.
- Legal Research and Writing:
- Create, edit, and update secondary legal content, including practice tips, highlights, and other features. Identify and organize key legal issues.
- Demonstrate expertise, efficiency, and curiosity in using Westlaw and other legal research technology.
- Collaboration and Development:
- Understand team roles and production impact.
- Prioritize tasks and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to problem-solving.
- Develop knowledge of Thomson Reuters Legal content and products, as well as those of competitors.
- J.D. from an accredited institution (Required).
- Demonstrated legal research and writing expertise.
- Law review or journal experience (Preferred).
- Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
- Capability to interpret, analyze, organize, and communicate complex legal material effectively.
- Analytical thinker with problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficient in computers and online applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
