Experience & Key Responsibilities: 

• Assist the dentist with expanded dental procedures and duties, ensuring all materials and instruments are prepared and available
• Stay a step ahead of the doctor by knowing all necessary materials and supplies for patient treatments
• Provide clear and compassionate verbiage to explain procedures and care instructions to patients and parents
• Perform triage for parents and patients, addressing concerns and gathering relevant information
• Execute proper four-handed pass-off techniques to ensure seamless handoffs of instruments and materials during procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized operatory, adhering to infection control protocols
• Support patient comfort and anxiety management throughout dental visits
• Document patient information accurately and update records as needed

Requirements

• Current Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) certification required 
• Previous pediatric dental experience preferred 
• Knowledge of dental procedures, materials, and expanded-duty functions 
• Strong communication and patient care skills 
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment 
• Positive attitude, patience, and team-focused mindset
