WHAT THE ROLE DELIVERS
The individual assigned to this role will be responsible for the production processing of all converted, fabricated, packaged parts sold through B2B or B2C outlets. This position is responsible for the safe production operations for all fabricated and converted packaged parts operations. The role is directly responsible for all production and procurement operations of these functional areas, as well as ongoing multi-functional coated parts and warehousing operations as necessary. This role will direct day-to-day activities in accordance with all BL AP initiatives meeting environmental, safety, quality, and TPM objectives.
WHAT YOU WILL DO

Direct all team activities within the scope of Responsible Care principles, governmental regulations (including but not limited to custom regulations, Hazardous waste and import/export regulations), and Röhm policies for Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), and safe work practices.

Directly supervise up to 35 direct employees. Provide appropriate training for hourly personnel to enable them to perform their job function in a competent manner. Prepare production personnel with advancement potential to assume positions of increased responsibility by setting challenging goals in their assignments and reviewing their progress periodically. Administer discipline when necessary.

Monitor department performance on a daily basis to maximize production efficiencies with timely response to problems. Meet all quality related goals. Achieve product quality through direct employee involvement and adherence to department quality practices. Meet or exceed Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) goals. Effectively use the TPM process to drive continuous improvement in department KPI.

Support BL-AP Quality Management (QM) practices where planning processes are involved by assuring that process failures are properly documented, investigated to root cause, and that corrective actions are identified and implemented by the appropriate internal department. Evaluate incidents reported by customers and coordinate among the impacted areas to develop recommendations and implement alternate procedures to proactively prevent process failures.

Customer Service: Maximize customer satisfaction and company profitability by providing internal and external customers with high-quality low-cost service and responsiveness.

Support special projects during any re-work of suspected or out of specification product. Track quality and QNs. Design and implement system enhancements to support changing customer requirements and meet continuous improvement objectives.

Foster a working environment of team involvement where employees are encouraged to participate and voice their opinions. Must be able to facilitate personnel conflicts to a positive outcome for all.

WHAT WE ARE SEEKING

College degree preferred, but not required.

10 – 15 years of directly relevant work experience in manufacturing or acrylic processing and personnel supervision.

Demonstrated proficiency in management of staff plus negotiating, analytical, and communications skills, particularly as applied to manufacturing activities.
